Yeshe Tsomo will be cooking Momos to help raise funds for Nepal

Many of you already know Nuptul Tenpei Nyima Rinpoche who often comes to visit the Gar and who is currently studying in the Tibetan medicine program through Shang Shung Institute. Due to the recent earthquakes in Nepal, his hometown of Nubri was deeply affected. 90% of the houses were destroyed, the main road heading into the town is completely destroyed by landslides from Himalaya mountains and now it is snowing which is quite unusual. He was present in his Monastery, which sustained a little bit of damage, in Nepal during the first earthquake. He has recently left Nepal to find ways to raise money elsewhere. People need food, water, clothes and rebuilding shelters to protect from cold from strange weather conditions. He is currently at the Gar and will return in a few weeks to Nepal and his hometown to offer any financial assistance he was able to gather elsewhere. Here is the link to his Monastery in Nepal: http://www.kyimolung.org Yeshe Tsomo would like to cook Momos to help raise funds to assist Nuptul in his efforts for his return to Nepal for those the most in need. Momos will be offered starting at 2:00 pm this Saturday, May 16th at the Schoolhouse in Conway for a suggested donation of $20, offerings of more than $20 are greatly appreciated as well. Kids can have Momos for free! If you are not able to attend, you can still donate and we will save you some Momos to pick up later. If you would like to attend, we would appreciate an email to geko@tsegyalgar.org so that we can get a rough estimate of how many people are coming so Yeshe how many Momos to make. If you can't email, that is OK also. Spread the word to any family or friends who would also be interested. 2:00pm – 4:00pm Saturday, May 16, at the Schoolhouse
