Yantra Yoga Third Series and Pranayama with Naomi Zeitz

In the practice of Yantra Yoga we use our body, our voice or our breath and our mind. With the body we do positions and movements, with the voice/breath there are many techniques of pranayamas or breathing practices and with the mind there are many ways to concentrate and visualize. The aim is to go beyond judging and thinking with our mind. We call this contemplation. When we apply all these three aspects together, we have the possibility to arrive at our real knowledge or the understanding of our primordial state, our original condition. That is the real meaning of yoga in Yantra Yoga. Chögyal Namkhai Norbu This course will go more deeply into the third series of Yantras and the powerful pranayama associated with that series. We will review the preliminaries of Yantra Yoga but focus much more on understanding the yantras of the series, their application and the trainings in the 5 holdings of open, directed, closed, contracted and empty, used in the application of the pranayama of the Secret Breathing for Directing the Prana into the Central Channel or the pranayama of Humkara. This pranayama is a great opportunity to experience directing the karmic prana into the wisdom channel. We will also use other methods to explore and train in the understanding of complete breathing that will help us to work with the prana (vital energy) in the application of movement and the pranayama. These courses will offer some modifications for people of all body types and capacities. A basic knowledge of the prelimaries of Yantra Yoga and transmission from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu are required. Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to noon, 3 pm to 6 pm For more information contact: 413 369 4153 or secretary@tsegyalgar.org
