The uninterrupted lineage of Yantra Yoga is a fundamental method to integrate the body, voice and mind. Through positions and movements combined with breathing, one’s energy is coordinated and harmonized so as to let the mind relax and find its authentic balance, which is the basis for contemplation.
In this course we will introduce the Nine Purification Breathings and the Three Preliminary Series: 1) Tsijong (loosening the joints); 2) Lungsang (purification of the Prana), or the Eight Movements; and 3) Tsadul (controlling the channels). If there is time we may introduce the Five Yantras of the first series. We will also be learning the Vajra wave, the movement to end a session of Yantra Yoga. Participants will go home with a simple method of breathing and movement that creates deep relaxation and harmony in daily life.
