Dr. Jim Valby has been a student of Dzogchen Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu since 1982. He earned his doctorate in Far Eastern Studies under Herbert Guenther at the University of Saskatchewan in 1983. He participates in Dzogchen Community projects helping to prepare English translations from Tibetan texts. He has an open and engaging way to explain Chögyal Namkhai Norbu's Dzogchen teachings. He lives in Western Massachusetts, USA.
