Mandarava Tsalung and Sogthig Breathing/Chudlen Collective Practice Retreat

Mandarava Tsalung and Sogthig Breathing/Chudlen Collective Practice Retreat

Mandarava Tsalung and Sogthig Breathing/Chudlen Collective Practice Retreat, Khandroling, Buckland MA July 22-29, 2011 The retreat starts on Friday, July 22 at 10am at Khandroling at Rinpoche's Cabin. This collective practice retreat will be held at the same time as Rinpoche's personal retreat at Merigar West. The retreat will be led by senior practitioners at Khandroling. (On July 30 - 31 there will be a weekend retreat with Jim Valby; those who would like to continue until August 5, the day Rinpoche concludes his personal retreat, are welcome.) Participants must have transmission from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and be current members of the Dzogchen Community. It is best if people make themselves familiar with the practice before coming, but we will also offer the possibility to study the dvd of Rinpoche's explanation and practice. There will be a half hour explanation of the breathing practices and the practice will be begin one half hour following the explanation. Schedule: Dawn practice with sogthig breathing Breakfast 10am-noon practice with tsalung Lunch 4-6pm afternoon practice People are welcome to camp on the land or in the dormitory. Meals will not be provided, but if people are doing chudlen, they have the possibility to make collective simple meals. We have facilities for storing food and cooking on the land. Participants can make dadars together and we have good sources of the materials locally, so if someone wants to study and help people make them together, that would be great! There is always the opportunity to participate in karma yoga on the land or the schoolhouse, and we happily accept all helping hands! There will be no formal courses of Yantra Yoga and Vajra Dance, but everyone is welcome to practice! There is no cost but donations are always gladly accepted.
