Green Tara Weekend
Green Tara Practice Guided by Paula Barry and others.
Need to have had transmission from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.
Invoking Tara allows us to come in contact with her state. With these prayers we ask her to give us some of her wisdom and especially to save us from all the suffering and the visions of samsara. But in order to achieve this it is necessary to feel an authentic and profound devotion. How can we feel it? Through the example of compassion, and therefore of supreme bodhicitta, which is the Teacher. In the practice we can feel devotion through the invocation, because these invocations help us to open our heart and enter in contact with her state. So when we are reciting the invocation, when we are singing, we must feel this profound devotion. In this way we prepare to receive her wisdom.” Yuchen Namkhai, Merigar 2006
