Beginning Session for Learning to Sing the Ganapuja in the Correct Way
Our precious Teacher Chögyal Namkhai Norbu has often emphasized the need for practitioners to be able to lead and sing practices in the right way. He has repeatedly explained, "If my students cannot learn how to sing and lead a practice after thirty years, what can I think about their understanding of the profound knowledge of Semde, Longde, and Upadesha?" In Tashigar Norte, one night after the Tibetan songs and dances, Rinpoche spoke at length about the necessity of evolution to guarantee global peace for humanity in the future, and at the end he said, "So now, to learn evolution, start from learning how to lead a practice!"
Also it is fundamental that the ritual tradition of the Dzogchen Community be preserved in a pure way, as all melodies are originated from spiritual experiences of highly realized masters and pure dimensions of dakas and dakinis.
In this informal gathering, we will focus on the Ganapuja including Namkha and Lungta. It is open to all practitioners.
During these few hours of training we will make a start at learning and practicing the Ganapuja from the first A. We will see how far we can get!!!
We will start at 9:30 on Saturday March 15th and go until 2:00. There will be a short break at around Noon for snacks.
Hopefully it will be a fun time of learning to sing correctly together!
